Before they started rocking bigger stages, Rainynotes had to conquer their first real challenge: their own nerves. “Ang unang tugtog naming magkakasama bilang Rainynotes ay yung una naming ensayo,” they recall. It was a mix of excitement, fear, and an undeniable sense of this is it.

That energy has never left. Whether they’re performing in a small, intimate venue or at a festival, there’s always that rush—the kind that reminds them why they started in the first place.

Breaking Points and Bounce Backs

It hasn’t always been smooth sailing. “Madaming beses na naming naramdaman na parang gusto na naming sumuko,” they admit. Time constraints, self-doubt, and even losing their first Facebook page—a heartbreaking setback after years of building their online presence—made them question if they should keep going.

But instead of quitting, they regrouped. “Nagbibigay kami ng oras para mapag-usapan at ayusin ang mga problema sa banda,” they explain. They reminded themselves of their beginnings, their love for music, and the fans who believed in them.

The Music Video That Changed the Game

Releasing a music video was a defining moment for Rainynotes. “Hindi namin ma-explain ang nararamdaman ng bawat isa,” they say. “Pero nangingibabaw yung saya at excitement.”

It wasn’t just about visuals—it was about proving they could take their music to the next level. “Mas marami na ang nagtitiwala at naniniwala sa music namin,” they share. And with that, the drive to create even more has only grown stronger.

🎤 Khian, the vocalist, lets the song dictate his style. “Wala akong specific na ginagawa para madevelop yung boses ko,” he says. “Nakikinig lang ako ng iba’t ibang genre… finifeel ko lang yung kanta.” His most personal track? Ikaw Mismo. “Nagawa ko ‘yon dahil sa taong biglang bumago sa takbo ng araw-araw kong pamumuhay,” he admits. (Ouch.)

🎸 Kiko, the rhythm guitarist, focuses on creating depth. “Mas finofocusan ko kung paano pagandahin ang tunog ng rhythm ko para mas gumanda at kumapal ang tunog ng banda.”

🎸 AJ, the lead guitarist, crafts melodies with precision. “Sinusubukan kong ibigay yung tunog na hinahanap ng kanta namin hanggang sa makuha ko ang pinaka-magandang timpla.”

🎸 Lloyd, the bassist, adds layers to their sound. “Mas nagkakaroon ng kulay ang tugtog namin kapag nasasalin ko ang natutunan ko sa bass.” His secret influences? The bassists of Planetshakers and One Ok Rock.

🥁 Darwin, the drummer, makes sure their rhythm stays tight. “Napaka-importante ng groove sa isang banda,” he explains. “Dapat mag-stick sa alternative rock—hindi puwedeng lumagpas o mawala.”

At the end of the day, Rainynotes isn’t chasing superstardom. Their dream is pure and simple: “Gusto lang naming mapakinggan ng mga tao ang original songs namin at makilala pa,” they say. “At maka-impluwensya sa mga kapwa naming musikero na nagsisimula pa lang.”
