Bagnet 8065 Co. is a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Makati, and the people behind it want it to be more than a place to eat. It’s where guests can unwind, listen to music, laugh, and feel at home.
The experience they want people to have is simple: good food, good people, good music, and good memories.

It Started With Chairs From the Old House
Bagnet 8065 began with a few chairs and tables from their old house. At first, it was just a place to jam together and hang out.
Then friends and family started to love the food. Word about the good vibes and good food spread fast, and the place became a bit famous.
As it grew, so did the idea. They wanted a space where good food could bring people together, whether someone came in for a simple meal, to meet friends, to watch a live performance, or to discover a new artist.

Bringing Bagnet to Manila
The idea came from wanting to make something that felt authentic and approachable.
Back then, Ilocano bagnet wasn’t that well known in Manila. The team counts Bagnet 8065 among the pioneers of the dish in the city, from the time it was just starting to become a big thing here.
Why bagnet? It’s very Filipino, people recognize it right away, and it’s affordable. Keeping the menu to a few dishes also made the restaurant easier to run.
Eventually, it became more than the main dish. “Bagnet became our canvas for experimenting with Filipino flavors,” the team says.

Why 8065
The name comes straight from the address where it all started: 8065 Estrella Street in San Antonio Village, Makati.
At first, the number was only an address. Over time, it became part of who they are, and people started remembering 8065 as a place.
For the team, it now stands for where the concept began, the people they’ve met, the events they’ve hosted, and all the memories made there.
Less Salt, More Range
What makes their bagnet different comes down to balance. It’s less salty than the usual bagnet, but it keeps the richness and flavor people love. It’s also versatile enough to work with different Filipino dishes.
“We don’t see bagnet as just one dish,” they explain. “We see it as an ingredient that can be transformed into different comfort-food experiences.”
That’s why you’ll find bagnet paired with traditional Filipino flavors, noodles, vegetables, sauces, and even dishes inspired by other cuisines.
“What If We Put Bagnet Into This?”
A lot of the menu came out of curiosity and experimentation. The team kept asking themselves one question: “What if we put bagnet into this?”
They wanted to take dishes Filipinos already love and give them a little 8065 twist. That’s how Bagnet Kare-Kare, Sinigang Bagnet, Bagnet Curry, and Bagnet Pancit ended up on the menu.
“The goal wasn’t to change Filipino food completely,” they say. “It was to make familiar flavors feel exciting again.”
Where to Start
If it’s your first time and you can only try one dish, they’ll tell you to start with the classic original bagnet. That’s the heart of the restaurant.
If you want to see what makes 8065 different, they also recommend the Bagnet Kare Kare & Spicy Gata. It mixes something very familiar with their signature bagnet, and to them, it sums up what they like to do: take Filipino comfort food and give it their own personality.
Comfort First
Filipino comfort food sits at the center of everything they do. “It’s at the heart of who we are,” the team says.
Food has a way of bringing people back to something familiar, like home, family, childhood, or a good meal shared with people they love. They want Bagnet 8065 to be a place where Filipino food doesn’t have to be complicated to be meaningful.
Or, as they put it, “Sometimes, comfort is the best kind of food.”
A Space for Artists
Bagnet 8065 has also hosted live music, acoustic nights, comedy shows, and other events.
“We believe a restaurant can be more than four walls and a menu,” the team says. They saw that their space could become a platform for artists, musicians, comedians, producers, and other creatives.
Some people come to a restaurant to eat. Others come to hear music, laugh with friends, discover an artist, or just have somewhere to belong for a few hours. Bagnet 8065 wanted to be that kind of place.

Food, Music, and the Table
For the team, food, music, and entertainment have a lot in common.
“Food brings people to the table. Music creates an atmosphere.”
It’s the same idea that started with a few chairs and tables from their old house: good food, good people, good music, and good memories.
