Why does she want to paint?

Lorraine believes art can bring calm, reflection and meaningful emotional experiences into our lives. When she reached out to Excapelabs, that belief was the part of her story she especially wanted to share.

Nature is where she finds that peace herself.

“Nature has always inspired me, especially the moon, mountains and quiet landscapes. These are the places and moments that make me feel grounded and at peace.”

Her inspiration also comes from different landscapes and cultures, including her Filipino heritage and the natural beauty of Europe. One of her newest paintings features the Matterhorn, and it is one she really likes.

If the moon or a quiet landscape has ever made you feel grounded, you already know the feeling she wants to share.

What was Beyond The Noise?

Beyond The Noise was Lorraine’s first solo exhibition in Karlovy Vary. It ran from June 18 to August 14, 2026, at the Cultural & Creative Center Vary&Te.

The show featured all the paintings in her online gallery except three. Her two latest works, Between The Earth And Sky and Castle, were not part of it. Neither was Rovigno Bella Istria. The original of that painting is installed at a restaurant in Croatia.

She also has a message for fellow Filipino creatives.

“As a Filipina artist building my creative journey internationally, I hope to inspire other independent Filipino creatives to pursue their artistic ambitions, wherever life takes them.”
